What can I expect when I start at Beacham Group?

We employ a variety of people, some of whom have prior recruitment consulting experience to those we hire from their industry domain and train to be recruitment consulting professionals.

Solid people and business consulting skills are very important for a successful career at Beacham Group. Depending on the level of your knowledge and expertise, the focus for most of your first year is on building and rounding out your core consulting skills important to your longer-term success as a service focused consultant. For example this would include things like situational analysis, objective and structured problem solving, effective customer (client/candidate) communications, positive influencing, delivery and recruitment best practice etc.

All our consultants complete a formal assessment and skills audit prior to undertaking an extensive training and induction program that helps to introduce, baseline and confirm Beacham Group’ core recruitment consulting skills before working on customer recruitment assignments.

Once you begin client work, the work you complete is focused primarily on what will be optimal for your personal and professional development. We usually place you on projects that leverage your background, working with an experienced consultant (if required) and commencing with candidate-focused work before progressing to client engagements. We will intentionally give you opportunities to solve problems you haven’t encountered before and get you to think, analyse, use common sense and make decisions.

We will help you to fail quickly so you can succeed faster. Why? We have found this to be very valuable in building the general and specific problem solving skills that will make you consistently successful at Beacham Group over the long-term.
